Accommodations

Aurora offers a blend of live-aboard comfort and practical cruising features. She delivers the best accommodations of any yacht in this size range.

Excellent light and ventilation are achieved with 15 opening/screened portlights and 8 screened deck hatches plus 5 ventilation fans and 3 air conditioning units for added comfort.  As with all Island Packets, storage is amazing!

Starting forward is a large, divided anchor locker with interior access through a tall door in the forward head. This locker has separate storage compartments for two anchor rodes, fenders and spare dock lines.

The forward head features a separate shower stall with acrylic door, a S/S sink with vanity and mirror, a marine toilet, several lockers and drawers. Excellent ventilation is achieved through an overhead hatch, opening portlights and circulation fan. A seat bench is installed for comfort and safety while using the shower.

The forward master stateroom is a true delight occupying the entire beam of the yacht. It can be closed-off from the rest of the cabin providing a private and inviting retreat. The large “island berth” is offset from the hull providing easy access from three sides. The aft section of the berth top is mounted on gas support struts and lifts to reveal a large blanket chest and compartments that go down three levels. Drawers, cabinets, storage bins and a deep, cedar-lined hanging locker provide excellent protection for hanging garments. A dressing seat covered in Ultra Leather to port finishes this impressive stateroom. Excellent ventilation/circulation is achieved through overheads hatches, portlights and Hella fan. Hidden Compartments are available for valuables.

Next aft is the main salon featuring Island Packet's signature bulkhead mounted fold-up table. As the table is lowered, a built-in teak bottle and glass rack is revealed. The table folds out a second time to accommodate a large group. The starboard settee pulls out to provide a double berth increasing sleeping accommodations to seven. There is abundant storage both behind and beneath both settees including an extra large chart drawer. Settee seats and back rests are covered in Ultra Leather. Multiple overhead hatches, port lights and Hella fans are placed throughout the salon.

Starboard aft in the salon is the dedicated navigation station with an electrically powered swing-out seat, large hinged chart table, and well designed electrical/control panel. In this area, as well as throughout the entire yacht, you'll find beautiful handcrafted cabinetry and joiner work in varnished teak.

The galley, immediately to starboard of the companionway, features double S/S sinks, a 3 burner propane stove with oven, microwave, generous wrap-around fiddled counter space, large capacity refrigerator and freezer, and abundant cabinets, shelves, built-in dish/glass racks, and drawers.

To port is the aft head with entry from the salon or aft stateroom. It features shower with wrap-around curtain and folding teak seat, vanity with S/S sink, teak framed mirror, and marine toilet. This head is also well ventilated with an overhead hatch and portlight.

The aft stateroom is extremely comfortable and features a large Pullman-style athwartships berth, large cedar-lined locker, numerous drawers and bins, a custom bookshelf and lots of ventilation with screened hatch, portlights and fan. Compartments under mattress provide additional storage and engine/transmission access.
